This content is not evidence based in the field. Mental health issues are not predominately due to genetic predisposition or chemical imbalance. Both of those have been debunked. My neighbor used to cornrow my hair in the summer when I knew I'd be hooking up boxes under generators and engines for ships. My hair was long and a French braid just came out through the day. It was cooler and I never had to worry about getting scalped if my hair got caught in rotating gears. It happened to another girl before. We'd drink a glass of wine, get some hella good takeout, and she'd do my hair, I would pay her, and when I got done working the engines for that week, we'd take it down. She would cornrow my hair about 4 or 5 times a summer. She saw pics of the girl that got scalped and told me, "No baby, we ain't taking no chances, don't you ever go work down there without letting me fix your hair" I adored that woman. If I see wigs that I like I compliment, cool braid designs, I compliment, looking good, great outfit, I compliment and I mean every word.
